Matt Pitcher

Managing Partner

More About Matt

Matt started his career as an independent adviser in May 2001 with what was then Towry Law, rising to become one of only four Executive Partners nationally. Following the acquisition of Towry by Private Equity house Permira in 2016, Matt left to establish Altor believing that there was a fairer way of advising his clients.

Matt spends most of his free time with his lovely family and with what is left, is a keen supporter of the England rugby team.

Lucinda Pitcher

More About Lucinda

Lucinda is an equity partner at Altor and is responsible for the running of the business. Lucinda comes from a teaching background and has taught in state and private education. Her day to day role as practice manager ensures that the crucial functions of the partnership are fulfilled allowing Matt, Jon and Vaughan to focus full-time on our clients.

In her spare time Lucinda enjoys distance running and is an active member of the community.

Vaughan Watson

More About Vaughan

Vaughan started his career as a financial adviser in 1999, joining Towry Law in 2007 where he became one of only a dozen Senior Client Partners. Following Tilney’s acquisition in 2016, Vaughan was promoted to Managing Partner, South-East. Cultural changes led him to look for a firm aligned with his own values, he joined Altor as a Partner in April 2019.

Vaughan enjoys spending time with his large extended family, American Football, playing golf, running and has also embraced Veganism since 2020.


Jon Whiteley

Financial Planner

More About Jon

Jon started his career in 1988 running his own IFA business before selling it to John Scott & Partners in 2006. The firm became Towry shortly afterwards and he was appointed Senior Client Partner until his retirement in 2015. Jon has come out of retirement to join Altor believing that our innovative charging model and independence is just what his clients are looking for.

In his spare time Jon plays golf and is currently trying to fight his handicap back down as his clients are keeping him busy.

Lee Harman

Financial Planner

More About Lee

Lee started his career as a trainee at the London financial advice firm, Saunderson House, becoming an adviser in 2018 and achieving Chartered status in 2019. He left following a takeover to seek a firm more aligned with his values and who shared his belief that there was a better way to serve clients.

He likes to spend most of his time travelling and seeing new places across the world when not working, as well as following most sports with the keenest interests in football, cricket and motor racing.

Ashley Weller-Evans

More About Ashley

Ash comes from a finance background – most recently working at Merlin Entertainments and previously 5 years at Novuna Business Finance. Ash is responsible for looking after our clients’ investments and making sure that the third-parties that we use, do the right thing.

In her spare time Ash closely follows the Bees Ice Hockey team, where her husband plays, and spends time with her pooch, Bailey.


James Cooper

James joins us having spent the previous decade as a Police Officer for Hampshire Constabulary, working on the response team and most recently developing and managing new recruits. Prior to that James spent 6 years in Kansas on a joint basketball and academic scholarship, which allowed him to obtain his finance degree. He is currently working through his diploma in regulated financial planning, with a view of progressing to chartered status.

In his spare time James enjoys going to the gym and most sports, especially the NFL and NBA. Also spending time with his family and walks with his wife Ruth and rescue dog Buster.

Louise McCormack

With over a decade of experience in administrative support and data management, Louise combines technical expertise and a CeMAP qualification with a passion for efficiency and innovation. Skilled in streamlining workflows and embracing new technologies, she delivers accuracy and exceptional service in regulated environments while enhancing client experiences.

Outside of work, Louise enjoys walking her rescue dog, discovering new music, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Jo Addison

Jo comes from a varied administration background and was most recently working for a Conservation/Heritage company. Jo is responsible for looking after our clients’ administration needs so that they can focus on what is important to them in life.

In her spare time Jo enjoys going to music festivals with friends, pilates and has two grown up sons who still keep her busy.


Hannah Lawless

Financial Planner

More About Hannah

After several years working in NHS operational & governance management, mostly within a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service, Hannah decided to channel her energy into financial planning. Hannah is excited to be building a new career that continues to be centred around helping others. She has completed the Diploma for Financial Advisers, with a view to progress to Chartered status.

Outside of work Hannah is a rugby fan (having reluctantly hung up her own boots) and enjoys strength training, boxfit and yoga to keep active. She also dabbles in calligraphy when the mood or friends’ weddings strike.

Hugo Sherlock

Trainee Financial Planner

More About Hugo

Hugo joins us having spent the previous 5 years training, and practicing, as a chartered accountant. He recently worked as a Fund Controller in a listed real estate fund. This will bring a different perspective on complex accounting and tax issues.

He is currently working towards his Diploma in Financial Advice, as well as his CeMAP qualification. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his Fiancé, as well as playing tennis and golf.
