We are pleased to announce that Altor has just achieved our triennial re-certification as a UK BCorp. Our initial BCorp assessment score in 2020 was 113 (comfortably in excess of the minimum requirement of 80 and above the average for a BCorp of 91).

We had self-assessed as scoring 164 after three years of hard work but the BCorp assessment is very thorough and in the last year of our review our assessor have required us to provide detailed proof of all of our claims.
We are pleased to now be able to say that we have been recertified with an assessed score of 150.
This puts us amongst the best BCorps worldwide.

We choose the BCorp assessment because it was so hard to achieve, there is really no point putting a badge on your website that was easy to achieve. We thought we were doing well in 2019 when we started the process but the BImpact Assessment has helped us to improve our staff benefits package, our environmental credentials and our community engagement.
The whole purpose of the BCorp movement is to encourage business to balance Profit, People and the Planet and we will continue to work on the five pillars of Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers in our business.
