As a team we decided to raise money for a very worthwhile local cause.

Victoria’s Promise is a charity set up out of a tragic loss that has gone on to help many young women coping with a diagnosis of cancer. The charity and its volunteers work with the three hospitals local to our office, Basingstoke, Winchester and Frimley Park.
A cancer diagnosis can lead any young women into a place of worry but also of loneliness. The women are often referred to Victoria’s Promise who being a small, local team can be flexible to adapt to each individual women’s needs. This might be for someone to talk to, counselling sessions, cash for immediate needs, family support or just to be connected to a community of women who have already been through this.
In addition to their work locally, Victoria’s Promise is now working further field through partnerships or via their app.

For the last month we committed to completing 28km per day across the team. In some cases, this meant longer sessions in the gym, for some it was more tropical island walking and the various Altor dogs have never been happier with their extra walkies.
